Acer Aspire 9504 WLMi - system down

Hi all,
I've open the back to look at the type of RAM installed (2 + 512MB DDR2).
I removed the 2 RAM, then I reinstall them.

But, now the system is down.
The screen is black, and I hear only a hiss...

Can you help me?

Thank you

let's hope you didn't static shock your memory.
possible issues:
1 bad memory chip, memory not properly refitted, motherboard failure, gaussed power switch, bad power supply.
luckily all are covered under usual warranties. what you can do;
pull all the memory chips and start your computer. it should beep and complain and the bios should show you some message that you need memory. replace 1 at a time to see if anything works.
gaussed power switch (this happens more often than you might think)
remove the battery and unplug any power cables to your laptop and try to power it on. you should see a flicker of life then nothing. now replace the battery and power and turn on normally.
damaged motherboard or bad power supply: take it somewhere and they'll be able to replace the part, I know of no way to diagnose which has failed on a laptop through a forum.
