How can I put a playlist on my website and have it repeat?

I am looking to set up an online radio station of sorts and I wanted to know what kind of code is necessary to have a playlist on a website that will play a list of songs and then repeat them over and over again. Allowing me also to add songs to a file folder which would of course be added to the playlist. Has anyone seen any discussions about this type of thing? I only really know HTML and design so dont even know what other languages to use.

Hey,

I cam across this totally cool little app visually based on CoverFlow (recently bought by apple and integrated into itunes 7).

You can easily integrate an audio stream, totally legally i might add, into your site or blog!

I know of other, unbranded applications too (all flash based), let me know if you would like me to have a look for them for you if finetune does not meet your requirements.

I went on finetune and I couldnt find a way to upload my own music to it. You ever use it before? Navigation is not really good and dont really understand how it works.

ok, this finetune actually has a media library you can search through and choose your songs, you dont need to upload anything. They make this legal by abiding to certain online radio broadcasting rules (at least 45 tunes in repeating playlist, random playback, not more than three tracks by same artist in playlist, etc..)

Here's one I created - I selected a fre tracks, then I clicked the I'm lazy button and it selected the rest of the tunes for me. Once you have enough songs you get an option in the right hand side to embed this code in your site. (let's see what quomon does with this :

<iframe src="http://www.finetune.com/player/embed.htm... scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="220" width="215">http://www.finetune.com/player/embed.htm...

Let me know what you think!

Yeah, the problem is I have specific songs that I have collected over the years that I want to add to the list and their not available on finetune. Any suggestions if the media library doesnt (and will probably never) have the songs? What about those other options you were talking about. I wouldnt think that it would be that difficult to post a playlist and then continuously add new songs, but I cant find anything anywhere. Thanks for the input dascope, this is huge anyway.

James,

maybe what you should look at is www.live365.com. Apart from allowing you to set up your own radio station there is tons of info on that site about online broadcasting.

If that also is not what you are looking for, here are some flash mp3 players you could use:
http://jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_MP...
http://www.wimpyplayer.com/products/wimp...
http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/
http://flamplayer.com/

and if you want more options just type "flash mp3 player" into google..

hth,

Thanks
