Happymisfit

My computer is stuck in safe mode and I cant start in normal mode

After I reinstalled vista Iam only able to start up in safe. If I start it in normal just a black screen. I tried reinstalling 3 times but no such luck. messed with msconfig and force start it in normal and that didnt change a thing. I am not that great with computers so andy help would be great ty.
