My wireless sharing won't work since my satellite internet modem got replaced.

For several months I had a wireless home network set up through my router. Both laptops could access files and print to the printer on the desktop. The satellite modem went dead and we were without Internet for 1 1/2 weeks. Once everything got set back up (no settings were changed) the laptops can no longer access files or the printer. We can still get onto the Internet, but that's all. It appears I still have a workgroup set up with permissions set on the files as I had to start with. In the process of changing things out, I'm not sure that all the USB cords got plugged back to where they started on the desktop. FYI, the desktop runs XP and both laptops run Vista. Thanks!
