Outlook signature problem: Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls...

When I send an email using Outlook 2003 the recipient get's this error message when they try to read the message:

And then parts of the signature is not displayed correctly.

Try removing your stationary or signature or both. One of the two has some sort of ActiveX control in it. The ActiveX control was probably added as a result of you trying to make your stationary or signature too fancy.

outlook settings for signatures and stationary:
tools->options->mail format tab.
you might also want to try sending as rich text or text only. they're not pretty, but it's not possible for you to get an activeX error sending as text.

It could also be that you link to an ActiveX control in your signature.

Just go to Tools--> Options-->Mail Formats-->Choose << Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit mail messages >>.

Or..... you could just close outlook down and search for a file called outcmd.dat and rename this to outcmd.old. Restart outlook. Problem solved.
