Access Dropdown Limit

What is the the maximum number of records that you can have in an access form? I am re-writing the application in an entirely different language, but it will not be done for a while so I need to get an answer for this issue. There is a dropdown an an Access form, that is connected to a MS SQL backend, and as the list gets longer, the dropdown is missing data at the end. It is alphabetic and it only goes to "WE" now and does not show any other W, X, Y or Z's now. I think it has maxed the number of records it can display in a dropdown. Does anyone have an answer to this?
