Hi to all,

This is sample is running fine in I.E but Mozilla,Firefox and Netscape browser throwing Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open .

I have searched on internet and got this link (http://www.captain.at/howto-ajax-permiss...) to remove that error but stil not able to get success.

Hi Sarbjit,

all mozilla based browser have a security feature which requires you to enable the a specific privilege called UniversalBrowserRead.

You do this with :netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege("UniversalBrowserRead&
quot;);

Have a look at the table on this web page: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/XML...>http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/XML.../a>

Hope this helped.

Cheers

If you get "Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open . " in Mozilla Based Browsers, enable UniversalBrowserRead with the code netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege("UniversalBrowserRead&q
uot;);
