Delphi thread is ending prematurely. WaitForSingleObject times out.

I have a Delphi application that uses threads. The application was working fine for about a year up until a week ago. Stepping through the code reveals that one of the threads is ending by itself. WaitForSingleObject times out because the thread no longer exists. The thread in question does not fail/die until about 3/4 of the way through execution.

Anyone have any ideas? Could a windows update have caused my application to start failing?
