IBM Thinkpad T42, restore to factory settings

Hi, IBM think pad T42, no discs with this windows xp laptop, about 4 years old, I need to restore to factory settings, can anyone help please?

Any reason why you need to restore to factory settings? Do you have a problem? If you have system restore points setup you could possibly restore to one of those saved points.

Your laptop probably has a recovery partition on it so maybe get to that? Use the blue ibm button to see if u can get to it

How do I get to the recovery partition. I want to restore my system back to factory settings but I don't have the recovery cd and the Blue ibm button doesn't seem to work. Is there anyway that I can restore my laptop? If so please help.
