My new Dell keyboard shows an apostrophe " instead of the @ sign. How do I fix this please.

Discovered I need to shift " (apostrophe) instead of @ to get the @. and vice versa but couldn't change if it in the control panel/keyboard settings section. Using XP Home. Funny it doesn't allow you to change it, Acer desktop and keyboard

Go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > "Languages" tab then click "Details" on Text services and input languages. Change your default input language to English UK.
