There are 2 versions of vista on a computer

My daughter installed a 2nd vista program on her computer. They are both there becaus when I look at storage it is full with 2 programs taking up most of the space. How do I wipe the old one off?

On boot up does it ask you witch Operating system you want to boot? This seems odd.
