I was lent this laptop for college at the beginning of August. The computer was a Tosiba Tecra A2 and I had to buy the powercord because the pwner lost it. And then when I turned it on it was locked by a pasword at the windows login. The owner had forgotten the password and I had it rebuilt. I now need to find out what programs I need, etc to make my laptop useful to me. I'm a college student so this is very important.

1. Log onto a computer that can link to the Internet. Download Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com/... for Windows XP, Vista, 2003, 2000, 2008 and decompress it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD. 2.Get out the newly created CD and insert it to the locked computer. IT IS SHAREWARE. 3.Re-boot the locked computer and then follow the process of instructions. Just after a few steps, the old password will be removed. 4.Set new password: Step 1: Open the "Control Panel Step 2: Click the "User Account Step 3: Select the account you wanna set a new password. Step 4: Click "Changing Account " and "Set Up Password", then fill out the form as listed. Click "Create Password".

Do you have created the password reset disk ? If you do, you can sign into safe mode and recover the password. If you don’t have the windows password recovery disk. you have to take use of the third part utility, you can download it from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com and the website will show how to recover windows password.

Just a few days ago, I lost my windows vista admin passwords. I solved the trouble with the help of Windows Password Seeker. I just want to say that WIndows password is not safe, some tools can remove it easily such as Windows Password Rescuer. But you can just use it to recover your lost/forgot password.
