I'm transferring some code from a web application to a windows application, so I need to save a variable in the session, which in the webapplication was in HttpContext.Current.Session. But is there an equivalent to that in a windows application?

I found out that actually there is no need to use a session in a windows application. I just have to create an object with global scope and then I have access to it's properties, wherever I want.
