Without the use of PC or Freeview Box/TV, how can I get BBC & other Radio channels whilst abroad

I travel abroad a lot, mainly on the Continent, with no access to PC/TV/Satellite and miss BBC Radio (especially Radio 5 for sport). Can get World Service on short wave but not worth the effort! Have the feeling that a Radio with some sort of satellite receiver exists but cannot source it. What options, if any, are available please.

Satellite radio's do exist but from what I gather, those portable devices are US only. Im not sure if it is now available here in the UK. This article is from 2006, sort of gives you an idea. But Im not sure if it ever made is succesful though http://www.t3.com/news/satellite-radio-t...?=33026

Regarding listening to the radio, its going to be hard. If you stay in hotels they might be offering free satellite channels and so possibly pick it up from there.

Radio 5 is available on DAB but DAB won't work either as that will pick up terrestrial only.

I think you might be hard pressed to pick up something without internet or satellite though.

Thanks a lot for your help. Amazingly, today's Telegraph (23.2) Review section P19 mentions a digital satellite radio by REVO - the Blik. £149.99. Its on my shopping list!! Cheers. John
