A P2P-client is made in VB by winsocks Google for winsocks;) Yes winsocks is aviable for c++ Here is a tutorial for file-transfer. http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cpp/WSFile... If you code it a litle bit around it will be able for chats. Sorry for my bad english.

but tht is not wht i was looking for let ,let me elaborate... i have sent and recieved data using RS232 port programming... i want on tht lines... for rs232... abd the protocol used is X.25

Ok sorry. So I can't say something about that. Try to use the Jabber protokoll and code your own client ;). Many Jabber clients are opensource.
