You can either run apache or use Microsoft IIS. I currently run apache on XP for development of a PHP website. I have also installed PHP to work with IIS on XP. It just depends on which webserver you are more comfortable with using.

apache N# is your best option, or Microsoft IIS, according to http://phpforms.net/tutorial/tutorial.ht... it's easier to setup, but you'll have to have the windows xp cd to install it though.
