I need to get the selected text from a textarea. It works fine in IE with document.selection.createRange(), but not in Firefox. It doesn't have to be crossbrowser, I just want to be able to do the same thing in Firefox (IE doesn't matter right now).

I am bothered with the slow internet connection for quite a long time, but now I found an easy way to handle my problem, which is the software tuneup360.
