how do i stop my aol dial up from connecting automatically

everytime i turn my computer on, before i can go on to a different program, aol connects. Even when i disconnect, it connects again 2 seconds later and continually does it.

i've just tried it thanks peter but it don't work, it really is doing my head in now lol thanks anyway

try this. Open the control panel, go to "Internet options", click on the "connections" tab and check the radio button that says "Never dial a connection". that should help.
