i need to change the color of select (arrow and the background)

You can give the selected option a class of its own:


<li>option 1</li>
<li>option 2</li>
<li class="selected">option 3</li>
<li>option 4</li>

The CSS should look something like this

.selected {
background: #0f0;
}

I'm not sure about the background color of the arrow, but I've read that cannot be changed.
