I have a problem that the pages in my asp.net 2.0 website seems to load twice, i.e. the page_load method is called twice on each request. Anyone got any idea why this might be?

I found out it was due to the autoeventwireup property, which is set as true by default. Setting it to false in the web.config page (it can also be set individually on each page) seems to work, although I have to do more testing to see if something else is affected.
